The American Association of College Students would like to provide memberships that will provide reduced prices for the products and services that students use, such as textbooks, coffee, cell phone plans, technology purchases, travel, and auto insurance to name a few possible benefits. At this point we are just getting started, so initially we don't have these benefits yet. But, as more and more students join we will be approaching vendors for deals for many different products and services.

At this point individuals who wish to purchase a $20.00 membership are participating in a type of crowd sourcing. We don't have these products and services yet, but we will be adding them as we approach vendors for their services. The money from the initial membership will help launch the American Association of College Students. So, the first four months there will be no benefits, but very soon we will be providing benefits and these will increase and improve as we go forward. As soon as we add benefits and services you will gain those benefits and services. One benefit you will gain immediately is that if you are one of the first 1,000 people to join, your second year renewal will be free. Another benefit if you are one of the first 1,000 people to join is that the first 1,000 memberships will be numbered. So, if you are the first person to become a member you will always be member #1. If you are the thousandth person to join you will always be member #1,000. Overtime these first 1,000 members will always pay a lower subscription fee for membership. This is your reward for helping us get started.

Where will your money go? The American Association of College Students was incorporated as a 501©4, which is a social welfare organization. The American Association of College Student's purpose is to put students first by focusing on educational reform issues and helping students in various ways to reduce the costs associated with being a college student. So, your membership will pay for things like student internships to advocate for educational reforms. When necessary we will pay for professional services so that the American Association of College Students can grow into a professional organization that can represent the interests of students across the nation. The money from your membership will also go toward providing benefits and services to our members as our organization grows. This webpage gives you an idea of the things we hope to accomplish. The motto of the American Association of College Students is Putting Students First. You can be assured that this is our mission and purpose; we will always put students first.
